Split

Danielle: "You know our Zeets ways, naps usually come first. With the exception of Mikey, we have been procrastinating putting writing with all the pictures. So the last two posts will be more of a visual story. Our visit to Diocletian's Palace in Split was slightly rushed. With driving to our new hotel and the Split being so busy, we were only able to see a small part of Diocletian's Palace. The Romans took over ten years to build the palace, which is why many describe Diocletian's Palace as a city within Split. Unlike most architectural ruins, the palace still serves as a residential area today with apartments and lots of shops."

Split is a highly populated area compared to much of Croatia.
For instance Slano, were we stayed most of our trip, had around 550 people.

Danielle: "First things first, we had to eat."

One of the entrances to Diocletian's Palace

The underground shopping center
Bell Tower
A prayer table. There were notes from all different
languages.
The worst place to find parking.
We saw lots of cars just parked on the sidewalk.
